From Defense Knowledge

Army Futures Command is the requirement generating, capability designing, applied engineering, futures and forward looking command steructure of the US Army's technology & capability apparatus. This command interfaces with the warfighting ranks and determines what is needed, and identifies what 'it' might be until it's ready to be developed by ASAALT.
